The picturesque town of Kazanlak

Kazanlak is situated in the famous Valley of Roses, in the skirts of the Balkan mountain. The settlement has been inhabited since deep antiquity and was an important centre of the Thracian culture in the past. You will be captivated by the beautiful nature of the region which is a combination of picturesque mountain and valley landscape. The region of Kazanluk is most popular with its long traditions in rose-oil production which have been passed through many generations. A historical monument of international importance is the Thracian tomb of Kazanlak, situated in a mount, not far from the town. The region of Kazanluk offers good opportunities for hiking and biking tourism as there are well-maintained chalets in this part of the Balkan mountain and marked tourist routes.

The Rose Festival in Kazanluk

Annually, in early June, the Rose Festival takes place in Kazanlak. The event has attracted lots of visitors from Bulgaria and abroad for more than one hundred years. The festival is dedicated to the rose, known in Bulgaria as the “Queen of flowers” and a symbol of youth and beauty. Apart from the rich musical programme with folk songs, dances and a beauty contest, the festival includes ritual rose-picking in the fragrant rose fields and rose-distillation afterwards. All visitors are invited to take part in these rituals and to feel the spirit of this unusual corner of Bulgaria. I have found a new live stream web cam at sunny beach.
Type in as follows:
Live stream webcam hotel Kuban Bulgaria.
2014 Bulgaria web cameras weather live is the page to load into.
Map comes up and just click on red dot at sunny beach.
Click arrow right hand bottom corner if off line.
Sit back and enjoy the views.
