The Rose Festival in Kazanluk

Annually, in early June, the Rose Festival takes place in Kazanlak. The event has attracted lots of visitors from Bulgaria and abroad for more than one hundred years. The festival is dedicated to the rose, known in Bulgaria as the “Queen of flowers” and a symbol of youth and beauty. Apart from the rich musical programme with folk songs, dances and a beauty contest, the festival includes ritual rose-picking in the fragrant rose fields and rose-distillation afterwards. All visitors are invited to take part in these rituals and to feel the spirit of this unusual corner of Bulgaria. Nice place they say lies for the spa sauna is free only and the pool is cold every day say the manager have problem at the room have price catalog and at the reception pay other price because they say is wrong!!!!
