Kazanlak is situated in the famous Valley of Roses, in the skirts of the Balkan mountain. The settlement has been inhabited since deep antiquity and was an important centre of the Thracian culture in the past. The Rose Festival in Kazanluk

Annually, in early June, the Rose Festival takes place in Kazanlak. The event has attracted lots of visitors from Bulgaria and abroad for more than one hundred years. The festival is dedicated to the rose, known in Bulgaria as the “Queen of flowers” and a symbol of youth and beauty. Apart from the rich musical programme with folk songs, dances and a beauty contest, the festival includes ritual rose-picking in the fragrant rose fields and rose-distillation afterwards. All visitors are invited to take part in these rituals and to feel the spirit of this unusual corner of Bulgaria. Elegant Hotel

Superb friendly hotel with nice clean rooms, good food and excellent staff (Especially the bar Man IVO). Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was very helpful with directions & advice etc. Will definately stay there again in the near future. Well ...

I have just returned from a week in this hotel, overall it was very clean and the staff were friendly enough, but the food was'nt great and you would be ripped off buying wine at the hotel as they give you the most expensive.
